Meeting with representatives of the World Bank

On June 15-16 of this year, a meeting was held between representatives of the State Fund for Support of Entrepreneurship Activities (Fund) and the World Bank (Bank) as part of the projects “Development of Rural Entrepreneurship in the Fergana Valley” and “Development of Rural Entrepreneurship”.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Executive Director of the Fund Jasur Buriev, Head of the Department of Economic Analysis and Assets Management Kudrat Radjapov and James Hammersley, an independent expert involved in the framework of the Bank’s project “Development of Rural Entrepreneurship in the Fergana Valley”, credit line consultant Atham Ergashev.

It was also noted that within the framework of these projects, a number of recommendations were proposed by the Bank’s experts to improve the Fund’s activities in accordance with international standards.

In addition, the parties exchanged views on the study and exchange of experience of similar funds in foreign countries.

The parties also discussed attracting investments from foreign financial organizations in order to ensure uninterrupted financial assistance to the Fund.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation on the above issues.
