Another meeting was held with representatives of the World Bank Group

On May 17 of this year, the next meeting with representatives of the World Bank was held in the framework of the implementation of the project “Development of rural entrepreneurship – phase 2” with the participation of the World Bank Group at the State Fund for Support of Entrepreneurial Activities (Fund).

This project is based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 13, 2022 No.DP-317. It is planned to direct the funds of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the amount of 29.3 million US dollars to the capitalization of the Fund.

At the meeting, the head of the project group “Development of rural entrepreneurship – phase 2” of the World Bank – senior expert on agricultural issues D.Khidirov and credit line consultant A.Ergashev, the Project Implementation Group of the Neighborhood Employment and Business Development Agency head A.Narboyev, head of the Fund’s economic analysis and asset management department K.Radjapov and chief specialist of the guarantee provision and introduction of new services department J. Zorayev participated.

Furthermore, within the framework of the project, for the provision of guarantees by the Fund for micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Syrdarya, Surkhodarya, Tashkent and Khorezm regions, it was noted that the first tranche of funds in the amount of 14,65 million US dollars was received.

The work carried out under the Project was reviewed at the meeting and proposals were made to the World Bank.

At the same time, a number of proposals were made by representatives of the Fund to the project “technical support subcomponent for financial organizations and State Fund for Support of Entrepreneurship Activities participating in the project.”

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the exchange of foreign experiences.
